Pizza Hut has launched a new marketing promotion tied to football broadcasts this winter, partnering with former NFL quarterback Tom Brady on a campaign called “Pizza Before the Hut.” The effort coincides with the return of the brand’s 16″ Big New Yorker pizza, which will be available for $10 for a limited time at participating locations.
As part of the promotion, Pizza Hut is offering a reward tied to an on-air moment during a nationally televised college or professional football game. If a quarterback says the word “pizza” immediately before calling “hut” on a live broadcast, Pizza Hut will host a free Big New Yorker pizza party for that quarterback’s city.
The concept plays on Brady’s association with the word “hut,” which quarterbacks use to signal the start of a play. In the campaign’s advertising, Brady appears in a Pizza Hut delivery role, extending that familiar cadence into a lighthearted off-field setting.

The campaign will run nationally across television, digital and social platforms throughout the football postseason.
“‘Hut’ is one of the most recognizable sounds in football,” said Melissa Friebe, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut. “This campaign is a way to connect that moment with our brand in a simple, playful way, while also highlighting the return of the Big New Yorker at a value price point.”
Pizza Hut says The Big New Yorker is a 16″, New York–style pizza cut into six oversized slices, with a crust seasoned with parmesan and oregano. Customers can order it with a variety of standard toppings, including pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and onions.
The $10 Big New Yorker offer is available for a limited time at participating Pizza Hut locations nationwide. Additional details about the “Pizza Before the Hut” promotion are available on the company’s website.
