Pizza Hut has teamed up with Grammy-winning artist and entertainer Anderson .Paak to launch a new campaign celebrating the debut of new menu item Crafted Flatzz. Crafted Flatzz—personal pizzas with a lineup of adventurous flavors—launched in the U.S. in August and are now rolling out in the UK, Bahrain, and other countries.

The new campaign comes with a story that sounds like fan fiction. As part of the brand’s “Adultzz Only” campaign, .Paak takes on his alter ego, Dr. .Paak, PHD (Pizza Hut Degree). His role is to help his other persona, DJ PeeWee, overcome pizza-related struggles with the new Crafted Flatzz.

Fans can join in by earning their own “PHD” and claiming one of 777 free Crafted Flatzz pizzas. Starting at noon on Sept. 30, anyone who DMd the word “PHD” to @pizzahut on Instagram could be among the first 777 people to receive a $12 e-gift card—enough to cover a Crafted Flatzz—along with a personalized, downloadable PHD from .Paak himself.

Crafted Flatzz recipes include Nashville Hot Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, The Ultimate, Three Cheese and Pepperoni Duo.

“Anderson .Paak is the perfect partner for this,” said Roy Torres, global creative director at Pizza Hut. “He brings the same energy and love for good times that we are bringing back. As a brand, we are all about feeding good times. We’re not just launching a new product; we’re making it fun and interactive. Fans can unlock their own PHD, get a free Crafted Flatzz, and join the celebration.”
