Sacramento-based Pizza Guys is further expanding its California presence by opening its newest location in San Jose. The new restaurant, located at 2471 Berryessa Road, Suite 2is slated to open September 19.

To celebrate the grand opening, the location will give away 225 free pizza cards from September 15 through 18 while supplies last.

Franchisee Harvinder Bal, with a rich background as a chef and former owner of an Indian restaurant, chose to open the new Pizza Guys location in the San Jose area because of his deep connection to the community and its vibrant food scene.

“My experience as a former restaurant owner will make this location another successful Pizza Guys in San Jose,” Bal said. “Pizza Guy’s values of giving back and forming a community resonates with me very well. This newest location will be used as a vessel for friends and family within the community to connect and enjoy a wide selection of mouthwatering flavors from the Pizza Guys brand.”

Pizza Guys has rapidly expanded in the past year, with 90-plus stores operating in two states. The San Jose store opening is expected to bring more than 20 jobs to the area.

“I am super excited to be bringing a new location to the San Jose area,” said Pizza Guys CEO and founder Shahpour Nejad, who spoke in a panel session last week at PMQ’s inaugural Pizza Power Forum. “The San Jose community has been a huge support to our locations, which is why we are paying it forward with our newest location. I am certain Harvinder Bal will provide more great service and opportunities for everyone in San Jose.”
