Pizza Freak Co., the critically acclaimed frozen pizza startup, returned to the prestigious Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado, on June 20 through 22, and served up inventive takes on its signature pies alongside some of the most celebrated names in food and wine.

At the invitation of Hunter Lewis and the Food & Wine editorial team, Pizza Freak Co. was featured in the magazine’s Wine Bar experience under the iconic Grand Tasting Tent. Co-founder Chef Brad Kilgore delighted guests with a Black Truffle & Wild Onion Salsa Verde pairing for the company’s White Pie, while fellow co-founder Chef Brad Daniels showcased a bold Pepperoni XO to complement the Three Cheese Classic.

“Being invited back to Aspen to share our pizzas with such an inspiring community of chefs, writers and tastemakers is an incredible honor,” Kilgore said. “We founded Pizza Freak Co. to prove that frozen pizza can be every bit as exciting and chef-driven as any other category—and this event is the perfect stage to show what’s possible.”

In addition to their presence at the Grand Tasting, Pizza Freak Co. collaborated with Barrel Aged Management and mixologist Christine Wiseman for an exclusive one-night pop-up. Guests were treated to wood-fired versions of Pizza Freak’s creations finished with decadent toppings, including caviar, prosciutto and Calabrian chili honey.

The Aspen lineup also provided the opportunity to connect with culinary luminaries including Kat Kinsman, Chef Maneet Chauhan, Vivek Deora and Chef Sarah Grueneberg, underscoring the strong community that continues to champion the brand’s mission.

“Our team—especially our phenomenal sous chef Dustin Selvaggio—poured their hearts into this week,” Kilgore said. “It’s inspiring to see so much excitement for what we’re baking.”

Pizza Freak Co.’s return to Aspen marks another milestone in the company’s rapid ascent. With distribution expanding in natural grocers and foodservice outlets, the brand is proving that frozen pizza can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best of modern American cooking.
