Two of Philadelphia’s most beloved culinary brands are teaming up to deliver what they’re calling “a one-of-a-kind experience.” Pizza Freak Co., the acclaimed frozen pizza disruptor founded by a pair of renowned chefs, is now available through the legendary Bassetts Ice Cream.
After turning heads at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Pizza Freak Co. has earned the national spotlight and praise from some of the most respected voices in the industry. Kat Kinsman of Food & Wine called it “the best frozen pizza known to humankind.” Jeff Gordinier of Esquire noted, “This is not a frozen pizza that you settle for because you are tired. This is a frozen pizza that you crave.”
Meanwhile, Chef Francisco Migoya of Modernist Pizza called it “one of the BEST frozen pizzas I have had,” while Craig LaBan of the Philadelphia Inquirer said, “This collaboration…evolved into one of the best frozen pies I’ve eaten.”
Now available to foodservice operators throughout the Philadelphia area, the partnership between Pizza Freak Co. and Bassetts Ice Cream “makes it easier than ever for private clubs, cocktail lounges, breweries, wineries, event venues, schools, and caterers to offer a world-class pizza program with minimal labor required,” according to a press release.
Every Pizza Freak Co. partnership includes access to the Pizza Freak Co. AI Chef—a digital tool that enables anyone to create a signature pizza to be proud of—and guidance from co-founders Brad Daniels and Brad Kilgore. Both were recently nominated to the prestigious international Best Pizza Chefs list—the only chefs ever honored for a frozen pizza.
