Oxford, Miss., September 8, 2011 – PMQ’s 6th Annual Orlando Pizza Show, held at the Orange County
Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, and co-located with the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Show—
the largest food show in the southeast—will kick off this Thursday, September 8 with a Gluten-Free Pizza
Competition, which has five competitors vying for votes from four distinguished judges who hail from
places such as Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and Delight Gluten Free Magazine.
Competitions continue on Friday, September 10 when the American Pizza Championship, Fall 2011, will
see 15 competitors cook their best pies for judges traveling from as far away as Chicago and Dallas.
The finale will be the U.S. Pizza Team Trials on Sunday, September 12 when pizzaiolos try to spin,
toss, stretch and fold their way onto the U.S. Pizza Team in competitions such as Largest Dough Stretch,
Fastest Pizza Maker, Freestyle Acrobatics and Fastest Box Folder.
