MONCTON, NB, May 23 /CNW/ – Pizza Delight, the restaurant chain that

began from the vision of a young entrepreneur named Bernard Imbeault who
foresaw the possibilities of the franchise restaurant business model, will
commemorate its fortieth anniversary at its annual National Sales Meeting to
be held in Moncton, New Brunswick from May 26 to 28. Over 175 Pizza Delight
franchisees, current and alumni, company executives, employees and suppliers
will discuss the business of the day, reflect on the company's strong and
memorable history and celebrate the company's future, which is already being
seen as a period of brand renewal as Pizza Delight rolls out its new Oven
Fresh Kitchen Concept.
    Executive Chairman of the Board, Bernard Imbeault and President and Chief
Executive Officer, Ron Magruder of Imvescor, which operates four restaurant
brands including Pizza Delight, will join Pizza Delight's Chief Operating
Officer, Kevin Friesen in congratulating franchisees for their contributions
over the past forty years and share their vision for a prosperous future. Over
the next few years, the 104-unit chain is expected to renovate all locations
to the Oven Fresh Kitchen concept. The concept is earning high praise from
customers and signals a new phase of growth for the chain.

    Pizza Delight began as a small pizza take-out located in Shédiac,
New Brunswick in 1968 and was purchased one year later by entrepreneur Bernard
Imbeault and two partners who were eventually bought out. Imbeault spearheaded
Pizza Delight's expansion and developed it into the successful franchise
restaurant concept it is today. Pizza Delight restaurants are located in
Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta and have been a favourite of
customers for generations.
