According to the Bangkok Post, “The Pizza Company is expanding its overseas operations following strong growth abroad, according to Andy Holman, vice-chairman and general manager of The Pizza Company (Thailand).”

“The restaurant flagship of SET-listed Minor International Plc (MINT) plans to add another 10 outlets this year – four in China, three in Vietnam, and one each in Laos, Cambodia and Syria – bringing total international restaurants to 50 by year-end. ‘We just opened a new franchised outlet in Vientiane, Laos and it is one of the busiest overseas restaurants we have,’ said Mr Holman. ‘The market in the Middle East has also recovered from the economic downturn last year and it has resulted in our better international performance.’ The Pizza Company has opened three outlets so far this year in the United Arab Emirates and four in Saudi Arabia. Revenue from overseas restaurants accounts for 17% of the company’s total of approximately 1 billion baht.”
