The merry month of May is also a month for showing appreciation for the people who serve their communities in the most important ways: teachers, nurses, police officers and others. Jet’s Pizza, the 480-store chain headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan, will do exactly that with a campaign called “Jet’s Creating Community Connections.”
Throughout May, Jet’s Pizza franchisees across the country are stepping out of their stores and into their local communities to deliver 40,000 free slices of their signature Detroit-style pizza to local businesses, hospitals and community organizations.
The initiative will encompass Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8), Nurse Appreciation Week (May 6-12) and National Police Week (May 11-17).
In addition to free slices, locals will have a chance to win a $100 gift card and exclusive Coca-Cola merchandise by sharing a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #JetsCommunityConnections.
“Emails, texts, and social media are great, but at the end of the day, it’s those face-to-face, personal interactions that go a long way,” said Jets Pizza CMO and COO Andy Wetzel.
