Farrelli’s Pizza has a motto: “Great people make great pizza.” The ethos is reflected in the team culture of the 12-location, family-owned chain based in the Puget Sound region of Washington, but it also reflects its commitment to the surrounding community.

This year, Farrelli’s is launching a new fundraising initiative for a good cause. The chain wants to help nonprofit organization Santa’s Castle raise $1 million worth of toys and coats. The chain, for its part, aspires to collect $15,000 worth of toys and coats via its Toy & Coat Donation Drive, running Oct. 26-Nov. 24.

The effort aims to bring holiday joy to the children of junior enlisted service members throughout the Puget Sound region. This year’s campaign is especially meaningful as many military families are facing added strain due to the ongoing government shutdown and broader economic pressures.

Each year, Santa’s Castle provides new toys and gifts to military families who may not have the means to provide them during the holidays. Guests are invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys or coats at one of the pizza chain’s 12 locations.

“As a donor-funded nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our community to help fulfill our mission,” said Donna Handoe, executive director of Santa’s Castle. “Partnering with cheerful, motivated companies makes our work even more impactful. We’re thrilled that Farrelli’s has chosen to support us—an act that directly benefits our Service Members and their families. Together, we believe every Military Family deserves a joyful, stress-free holiday season.”

The campaign also includes a friendly internal competition among employees, in partnership with America’s Credit Union (ACU). Team members across Farrelli’s are encouraged to help drive donations, with the employee credited with the most contributions winning an unforgettable prize sponsored by ACU.
