According to a news report from eastbayri.com, “It’s trash day in Barrington and you’re doing your part to be a good citizen. The trash barrels are lined up and the recycle bins are nearby. Inside the paper and cardboard bin is last weekend’s pizza boxes, but after the trucks have departed you notice they didn’t take your pizza boxes. What gives?”

“According to officials at the Barrington Department of Public Works, pizza boxes and soda and beer “fridge packs” aren’t recyclable. This may come as a surprise to some residents, since for years DPW employees took the boxes.”
