“Haayer, along with husband Matt, modeled the new Generoso Pizza in Algonquin after the one just built in Glendale Heights, owned by one of her friends,” said the story. “The name says it all, according to Haayer, pointing out the huge individual slices of pizza offered at the restaurant, not to mention the large entrée portions. Rich Arsenault, owner of the Glendale Heights Generoso Pizza, talked over the name with Haayer, and together they found one that fit.”
