According to Nation’s Restaurant News, “Papa Murphy’s International, a take-and-bake pizza franchisor, said Wednesday it has hired Ken Calwell to serve as president.”

“Calwell most recently was chief marketing officer for Wendy’s International, which he joined in 2008. Before that, he worked as chief marketing officer and executive vice president of research and development for Domino’s Pizza, where he was part of the leadership team that took that chain public in 2004. Calwell, who is scheduled to begin the job on June 6, fills a position that has been open since Clarice Turner stepped down as president and chief operating officer in June 2009. Calwell will report to John Barr, Papa Murphy’s chairman and chief executive.”
