According to Star-Telegram.com, “Papa John’s Pizza delivered some dough to raise some dough for a fallen police officer.”
“On Friday, it gave a $15,000 check to the Arlington Police Association in memory of Craig Story, who died Jan. 13 when his police motorcycle collided with a school bus during a traffic stop on Cooper Street. The company donated one day of profits from all 50 Dallas-Fort Worth locations to help Story’s family. Story, 34, was married and had a 2-year-old son. Rick Thompson, the company’s operations vice president, said the community stepped up the day of the fundraiser and kept Papa John’s stores hopping with orders. Some Arlington locations set sales records, and one store sold more pizzas that day than it normally does in a week, he said.”
