According to Bizjournals.com, “Papa John’s International Inc. Monday surpassed the billion mark in online sales since 2001, when the company began offering the option through its Web site, www. papajohns.com.”

“The pizza chain reached $1 billion in online sales in 2008. At that time, the company predicted it would take three years to reach another $1 billion in online revenue. But improvements to the Web site, a Spanish-language version of the site, a mobile application — mobile. papajohns.com — and a Facebook page have helped drive online sales, according to a news release issued by the company. Today, more than 25 percent of all Papa John’s sales come through online, text, widget or mobile device applications, according to the release.”
