A couple of weeks ago, Papa Gino’s Pizzeria and D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches had a plan to roll out a dedicated program for first responders and military personnel as a way to say thank you for all they do in their local communities.

However, a lot has happened over a short amount of time, so instead, the two brands have decided to recognize not only first responders and military members, but also all of the “Everyday Heroes” that have emerged in these uncertain times.

Heroes include parents working from home with children out of school, serving as parent, teacher and current-events monitor all in one; grocery store workers stocking the shelves overnight so we have everything we need to practice social distancing (including toilet paper!); delivery people bringing essentials to our doors; doctors, nurses and hospital staffers caring for their fellow citizens; and so many others. Simply put, we’re all in this together, and Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo are recognizing this by offering “Everyday Heroes” discount pricing to everyone.

“In a time where we must all practice patience, resilience and strength, we are committed to doing our part as the neighborhood pizzeria and go-to authentic New England sandwich shop,” said Deena McKinley, CMO of New England Authentic Eats, LLC. “We often rely on the hard work of our fellow community members to keep everything running smoothly, and the new discounts are a small way we can give back to our neighborhoods’ everyday heroes. By keeping our Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo locations open for limited-contact delivery where available and easy carryout, our valued guests can continue enjoying their favorite comfort foods while remembering that we will get through this together.”
