Paisano’s—a locally owned pizza chain with over 40 locations across the Washington D.C. area—has launched a summer program to give back to the community. The brand’s new initiative will have it serving more meals than ever before for children in underserved communities.

With school out for summer, Paisano’s Food Truck will visit and feed neighborhoods in need across the DMV area with its program ‘Paisano’s With a Purpose’. The Goal? To distribute 10,000 meals annually.

Kicking off in Northern Virginia, Paisano’s hosted the first “Paisano’s With a Purpose” event at Bren Mar Park Elementary School on June 16, distributing 150 meals to children and their families. The next event is scheduled for July 30.

Throughout the Summer, Paisano’s will partner with schools, summer programs and corporate sponsors to deliver meals to those in need. Paisano’s is actively looking for schools to partner with or corporate partners to collaborate with.

In August, Paisano’s is partnering with Project Backpack for its 3rd Annual Project Backpack Giveaway. For that event, Paisano’s will be donating over $10,000 worth of product, including more than 2,000 slices of pizza, to support local families preparing during the busy back-to-school season.
