“Ever since spinning off from Domino’s Pizza in 1992, Steve and Ben Stacey, and Jim Kovacik have been living the entrepreneurial dream,” according to the Dexter Leader.

“That dream isn’t just for them to be their bosses, but to be their own bosses in a successful business venture, which in the case of Northern Pizza Equipment Inc. has worked. The company hasn’t posted a loss in its history.

“We took Tom Monahan’s business philosophy with us,” Steve said.

Monaghan, an Ann Arbor native, founded Domino’s in 1960 and had some simple ideas about business that put his company on top: Don’t keep your customers waiting, treat people with respect and don’t put up barriers between the business and its customers.”
