Tutta Bella, a Seattle-based restaurant and retail company known for its Neapolitan cuisine and wood-fired pizza, is celebrating the grand opening of its Social Fabric Café and Market. The new concept is part of Tutta Bella’s three-concept hospitality development effort at the REN building in Seattle’s Denny Triangle neighborhood and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 7.
The 1,250-square-foot Social Fabric Café and Market space is located on the ground floor of an award-winning high-rise and will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The menu offers a selection of coffee and food options, along with a market that features a range of prepared gourmet foods and drinks.
Social Fabric is designed to “bring homemade gourmet food options and carefully curated coffee…to the heart of Seattle,” the company announced. The cafe and market is partnering with local artisans to showcase their culinary talents on the café menu.

“The name Social Fabric represents the beautiful weaving of people and culture in this diverse area, and we feel that it will become a great gathering spot for residents and professionals across South Lake Union,” says Joe Fugere, Tutta Bella founder and CEO. “We’re extremely proud of the meticulous work the team put in to make sure we have a best-in-class menu of truly mouthwatering food options and a very unique, delicious and meaningful coffee offering.”
Social Fabric Café and Market’s signature roast was developed by celebrated Columbia-American barista and coffee roaster, Juan Diaz. Juan is the founder of KNOW.WHERE.COFFEE. (KWC), a network of Columbian farmers and coffee professionals who have been praised for their empowerment of women coffee roasters and commitment to sustainable sourcing, fair-trade practices and world-class single-origin coffee. The roasts are exclusive to Social Fabric Café and Market and unique to the Seattle market.
To complement its coffee program, Social Fabric Café and Market worked with several local artisans to develop food offerings that are highlighted by a Seattle favorite pop-up, Sonrisa Donuts. Sonrisa Donuts, famous for its fusion take on bomboloni, the Italian version of donuts, will be a permanent feature on the menu, with a seasonal rotation of flavors. In addition, noted culinary consultant Karen Malody, who worked on the original Tutta Bella menu back in 2004, has developed a series of premium breakfast and lunch items, including burritos, sandwiches, breakfast bars and focaccias.
“Highlighting and celebrating local artisans as part of our menu is what Social Fabric is all about,” Fugere says. “We’re so grateful to be partnering with some unbelievably talented people and equally excited to give them a place to showcase their incredible culinary talents.”
Social Fabric Café and Market, designed by Seattle-based Graham Baba Architects, is the second of three concepts that Tutta Bella will develop and operate at REN. The first concept, Lobby Bar at REN, opened in late 2023, and the third concept, an evolved version of Tutta Bella’s signature neighborhood restaurants, will open in late summer.
Founded in 2004, Tutta Bella is a restaurant group that operates five neighborhood restaurants, two “grocerants” and a food truck, while also offering retail food products in more than 200 grocery locations across the greater Puget Sound area, including at Costco, QFC, Fred Meyer, Amazon Fresh and several local specialty outlets. As the Northwest’s first Neapolitan pizzeria to be certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (VPN), Tutta Bella uses imported and locally sourced ingredients, along with centuries-old artisan traditions, with the goal of bringing an authentic yet modern Neapolitan culinary experience to its guests.
