According to a press release, Pizza Patrón, the country’s premier Latin pizza brand, today announced the start of its national Campout at Home Online Sweepstakes featuring the upcoming Blu-ray® and DVD release of George Lopez’s movie, “Mr. Troop Mom.” The sweepstakes marks the company’s first venture into online marketing.
The promotion, open to all U.S. residents age 13 or older, began June 8 and runs through July 12. During this time, pizza lovers and George Lopez fans alike can log on to www.pizzapatron.com and enter once a day for their chance to win a grand prize package that includes a flat screen TV, Blu-ray® disc player and a Mr. Troop Mom Blu-ray® disc. Twenty runner-ups will also receive a copy of “Mr. Troop Mom” on DVD.
“It takes a real man to be one of the girls,” the “Mr. Troop Mom” movie tagline reads, setting the tone for the hilarious, G-rated comedy from Warner Bros. The movie airs June 19 on Nickelodeon and sales of the DVD and Blu-ray® begin June 23.
Fans that just cannot wait for the film to arrive in stores will be able to catch a sneak peek of the trailer on pizzapatron.com prior to the Nickelodeon broadcast. Web site visitors also have the option to download a variety of fun “Mr. Troop Mom” movie wallpapers for their computer desktops.
“The Mr. Troop Mom Campout at Home promotion is a perfect fit for our brand,” said Andrew Gamm, director of brand development for Pizza Patrón. “George Lopez is family friendly, has a huge and very diverse fan base and most importantly resonates strongly with our customers.”
Since 1986, Pizza Patrón has been celebrating the diversity of the Latin culture and lifestyle in its stores, and strategic partnerships like this reinforce the concept’s core values. The company currently operates nearly 90 stores in six states and plans to have 750 stores nationwide within a decade.
