Class is officially in session at MOD Pizza as the fast-casual brand teams up with ABC’s hit comedy Abbott Elementary to celebrate the launch of the show’s new season.
MOD will serve up a limited-time pizza called The Honor Roll nationwide from September 28 through November 29. It’s inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak and the Philadelphia setting that serves as the heart of Abbott Elementary.
The pizza starts with an olive oil and minced garlic base. It’s topped with mozzarella, shaved beef with onions and green peppers, roasted red bell peppers and a finishing layer of cheddar cheese.
Partnering with a hit TV show feels like a big-time move for MOD, a 440-location brand that teetered on the brink of bankruptcy just two years ago before it was acquired by Elite Restaurant Group.
But it’s not unprecedented. Last fall MOD partnered with Disney in a campaign that promoted the movie TRON: Ares. At the time MOD described it as the brand’s largest intellectual property collaboration to date. But that campaign didn’t result in an LTO specialty pizza like the Honor Roll.
Abbott Elementary is one of the most popular shows on network TV. For the 2025-26 season, it ranked No. 5 among broadcast series with adults age 18 to 34. Last year’s season premiere drew 6.64 million viewers across ABC and streaming platforms.
“The Honor Roll is a fun way for our guests to join in the excitement surrounding the new season, whether they’re grabbing a pizza before tuning in or sharing a meal with fellow fans,” said Charae Carter Jenkins, vice president of marketing at MOD Pizza.
