Educators have been explaining the significance of irrational numbers—like, say, pi—to their students for generations. For Pi Day on March 14, MOD Pizza, headquartered in Seattle, is making the task a little easier by offering a free downloadable math poster that ties the mathematical constant to every kid’s favorite food: pizza, of course.

On top of that, MOD Pizza will randomly select 3,141 teachers to win a Buy One Get One Free MOD-size pizza or salad on March 14.

From a marketing perspective, the Pi Day promotion adds up to more members of the brand’s MOD Rewards loyalty program. To enter the online contest, teachers have to be MOD Rewards members or sign up for membership.

As part of its social mission, MOD also makes it easier for schools and teachers to raise money for clubs, sports teams, PTAs and other organizations. MOD donates 20% of all online and in-restaurant fundraisers back to school groups, and that number gets boosted to 25% if the organizer is a MOD Rewards member.
