(Press Release) Elgin, IL, September 5, 2013 – Elgin, Ill. Mayor David Kaptain unveiled “Middleby Way,” an honorary street sign after a ceremony and proclamation on Wednesday, September 4. The sign is displayed on Toastmaster Dr. at the corner of Congdon Ave. in Elgin.
Along with Mayor Kaptain and other City of Elgin officials, Middleby Marshall Group President Mark Sieron and Middleby employees were at the dedication. This is only the third time the city of Elgin has designated an honorary street sign, and the first time ever a local business received this recognition.
“This is a memorable day for Middleby Marshall, the Middleby Corporation and all of our brands,” said Sieron. “We are honored to receive this prestigious recognition from Mayor Kaptain and the city of Elgin. Now when our customers come to visit from all over the world the street sign is a visible message of our close ties with the community we serve.”
