MILWAUKEE, Jul 31, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Marcus Theatres(R), a division of The Marcus Corporation MCS -2.24% , today announced its third Zaffiro’s Pizzeria & Bar will open to the public on Friday, August 3, 2012 at its Ridge Cinema in New Berlin, Wis., a western Milwaukee suburb.
“We are excited to open our third Zaffiro’s Pizzeria & Bar – our second in the Milwaukee area. A Milwaukee tradition since 1954, many residents are already familiar with Zaffiro’s THINCREDIBLE, handmade-to-order pizzas and we are excited to offer these famous specialty pies to the residents of the New Berlin area,” said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus Theatres. “In addition to the cracker-thin-crust pizza, the menu will offer small plate appetizers, fresh salads such as the ‘Kitchen Sink’ salad, a variety of pastas, torpedoes and sandwiches and mouth-watering desserts. In addition to the Zaffiro’s favorites guests have come to enjoy at our other locations, a new item on our menu is homemade gelato. This frozen sweet treat will be offered in a variety of flavors and will be made daily at the restaurant.”
The 165-seat restaurant is the largest of the company’s three restaurants and will include a full-service bar offering signature cocktails, happy-hour specials and an extensive beer and wine list. The restaurant will also include delivery service and carryout service for local residents. Similar to its other two locations, the New Berlin Zaffiro’s will provide iPads(R) for guests to enjoy as they dine and live acoustic music on Thursday and Friday evenings.

In addition to the Zaffiro’s Pizzeria & Bar restaurant, a Zaffiro’s Express service has been added to the concession area inside the theatre. Guests can order 8″ or 16″ pizzas, along with other Zaffiro’s menu items at the counter to take with them into the auditorium and enjoy during the movie.
Olson said the restaurant has a warm and intimate feel, offering a variety of booths and tables for dining. “Moviegoers in the New Berlin community and surrounding areas will be able to have a delicious lunch or dinner and see a movie in one convenient location, as well as enjoy a place to dine and socialize with friends and family. Offering a broader variety of food and beverage options is part of our strategy to provide a complete entertainment destination for our guests.”
In addition to the company’s first Zaffiro’s location, a second Zaffiro’s opened at the Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park, Minn. in January. Zaffiro’s pizza is also available at the Majestic Cinema in Brookfield, Wis., the Midtown Cinema in Omaha, Neb. and the Oakdale Cinema in Oakdale, Minn.
