Toledo, Ohio – October 2009 – Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC), an authentic Italian pizza company headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, has introduced meatballs to store menus nationwide.

Marco’s now offers meatballs as a pizza topping and in a variety of additional menu items. Marco’s new Meatball & Sausage Platter features meatballs and sausage baked in Marco’s signature sauce and covered with a proprietary three-cheese blend. Marco’s Meatball Sliders combine meatballs, sauce, cheese and a sprinkling of Parmesan on Ciabatta-style Tuscan bread. Marco’s Meatball Sub sandwich features meatballs, sauce and cheese on Marco’s sub bread.

“Marco’s Pizza looks for ways to enhance our menu with products that make sense given the company’s Italian roots,” said CEO Jack Butorac. “Meatballs fit naturally with Marco’s heritage and we are excited to bring customers our take on this traditional favorite.”

Marco’s worked to perfect its meatball recipe for more than a year, considering dozens of different flavor profiles and combinations. The end result is a meatball made from lean cuts of beef with imported Pecorino Romano cheese and high-quality seasonings.
