SILVER SPRING, Md., June 4 /PRNewswire/ — Manny & Olga’s Pizza will be competing against 39 other pizzerias at the 2007 Northeast Pizza Challenge for the opportunity to be named Best Pizza in the Northeast. The event will be held on September 12 – 13, 2007 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The winner of this year’s contest will compete in the second International Pizza Challenge(TM) at International Pizza Expo(R). In early April 2008, the best pizzaioli in the world will return to Las Vegas to compete against the Winner of the 2007 Northeast Pizza Challenge winner.

Representing Manny & Olga’s is co-owner of the Georgetown location, Ioannis Fragkiadakis, entering the pizzeria’s The Big Fat Greek Pizza selection. Fragkiadakis said, “I think we have a winner with this pizza. It is our best seller.” The Big Fat Greek Pizza is comprised of fresh dough, fresh packed tomato sauce, Grande Cheddar blend cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes, Kalamata and Black Olives, Feta cheese, cooked lamb and beef, onions and fresh spinach.
