Manny & Olga’s Pizza, a beloved brand in the Washington D.C. and Maryland area, will serve up more than just their signature pies for Thanksgiving—they’re also serving the community’s people in need.

As part of its inaugural Thanksgiving Donation initiative, the company, which has a dozen locations, announced recently that it will donate more than 60 freshly made pizzas to a local homeless shelter, ensuring that more members of the D.C. community can enjoy a warm meal during the holiday.

“We’re incredibly thankful for the support we receive from our community,” owner Bobby Athanasakis said in a press release. “This is our way of giving back. Everyone deserves the comfort of a hot meal, especially during Thanksgiving.”

The 1st Annual Thanksgiving Donation reflects the pizzeria’s ongoing commitment to fostering community and lending a helping hand to those in need.

Manny Athanasakis, the brand’s founder, grew up in the olive and grape fields of Greece before moving to the United States. He opened his first restaurant in 1974 and renamed it Manny & Olga’s in 1993.

Along with subs, gyros, souvlaki, burgers, wraps, calzones and wings, the chain serves up pizzas like Olga’s Favorite (ground beef, fresh tomatoes, onions, green peppers, feta, green olives, black olives and extra cheese) and My Big Fat Greek Pizza (gyro meat, black olives, spinach, feta, onions and tomatoes).
