“There’s no question that New York City is the nation’s pizza capital,” says Eater New York. Folks in New Haven and Chicago might disagree—New Haven definitely does—but PMQ remains neutral on the topic. Regardless, you can’t deny that the Big Apple has some of the most highly acclaimed pizzerias in the country—and even on the planet.

With that in mind, Eater New York has compiled a new list of what it hails as “the best pizzerias in New York City.”The list runs the gamut from Neapolitan and New York styles to Sicilian squares.

The pizzerias aren’t ranked, but the list starts with Louie & Ernie’s in the Bronx and ranges from Don Antonio, founded by Roberto Caporuscio and now owned by his daughter, Giorgia Caporuscio, to Anthony Mangieri’s Una Pizza Napoletana and Gio Lanza’s Luigi’s Pizza (pictured below).
