Buffalo, NY., January 14, 2011 – Lactalis Foodservice, the premier foodservice source for world-class cheese and dairy specialties, is pleased to announce that Tim Connor has joined the organization as Vice President and General Manager of Food Services. A well-known industry leader, Connor will oversee the marketing, trade marketing and sales initiatives in his new role at Lactalis Foodservice.
No stranger to the industry, Connor brings a wealth of both foodservice and retail experience to his new position. “Tim knows and understands the foodservice business at a visceral level” said Ken Morris, Connor’s newly retired predecessor. “Tim is well thought of throughout the industry and brings the kind of guidance and council that an organization looks for in a senior manager.”
Connor’s career in foodservice began more than 35 years ago when he accepted his first position as a management trainee for the Overland Express, a small chain of restaurants specializing in steaks and seafood. His career has since spanned more than two decades with Nestlé where he emerged as a strong leader in category sales development and foodservice marketing. “I am excited and privileged to have the opportunity to lead Lactalis Foodservice. their skilled teams to further grow and develop their already successful business.”
Connor is a graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. He also attended Cornell University’s Executive Development Program. He served on the Board of Directors of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association and was a member of its Executive Board serving as first Vice Chairman. He is on the Board of Trustees for the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation, presently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Global Sports Institute and is past President of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for greater Los Angeles.
