“The skills of a pizza maker and the skills of a bread baker are very, very similar,” says John Arena, the legendary owner of Metro Pizza in Las Vegas and a leading figure in the pizza community. “You have all the tools in your pizzeria to make [breads for sandwiches and other items] and probably make them better than anything you can buy.”

In 2015, Arena visited PMQ’s Pizza Kitchen for a series of cooking videos. Here, he showed Brian Hernandez how to turn your pizza dough into a rustic Italian bread. Then he followed up by turning the baguettes into a delicious bruschetta!
