Jet’s Pizza last month gave away free pizza to local businesses, organizations and individuals who make a difference in their communities every day.
The campaign, called “Creating Community Connections,” ran from May 4 through 17. According to a press release, Jet’s Pizza locations provided free pizza to more than 1,000 schools, nonprofits, first responders, small businesses, healthcare offices and community organizations. Many local franchise owners looked to highlight nurses, police personnel, and teachers as the initiative ran through Nurse Appreciation Week, National Police Week and Teacher Appreciation Week.
As part of the initiative, those who received the free pizza were also given the chance to win a $100 Jet’s Pizza Gift Card and exclusive Coca-Cola merch by sharing a photo on Instagram with #JetsCommunityConnections.
The campaign provided an opportunity for local Jet’s teams to strengthen relationships within their neighborhoods and recognize the individuals who help communities thrive. The idea is for this initiative to reenergize franchisees to get out in the community.
“At Jet’s, we’ve always believed pizza is about bringing people together,” said John Jetts, president and CEO of Jet’s Pizza. “This initiative gave our franchisees and team members the chance to step outside their stores, meet incredible people in their communities, and create genuine connections. The conversations, smiles and relationships built throughout this campaign are what made it so meaningful.”
