Is Chuck E. Cheese growing up? Or just hoping to grow even bigger with its new menu aimed at adult palates?

In a move the brand calls “the next level of family entertainment,” Chuck E. Cheese is releasing a new Grown-Up Menu, with adult-approved options to augment its kid-friendly approach. “New options will cater to millions of bold-flavor seekers, elevating the kid-targeted dining experience to meet the full family palate—beyond basic pizza and games,” the brand announced.

Based in Irving, Texas, the company and its franchisees operate a system of nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese Fun Centers, with locations in 47 states and 18 foreign countries and territories.

Chuck E. Cheese, of course, has been known for its entertainment centers for decades. So it’s only fitting that, while most restaurants have to pare down their menus to satisfy picky kids, this brand is working in the opposite direction: leveling up for adults. Though kids still come first, the new Grown-Up Menu is touted as ideal for “adults who yearn for a slice of spice and bold flavors along with their entertainment,” according to Chuck E. Cheese.

The menu introduces specialty pizzas, meatballs and wing flavors, which the brand expects to set it apart in the Family Entertainment Center (FEC) industry. The Grown-Up Menu includes:

1. Four new specialty pizzas, baked to order, brushed with garlic butter, and sprinkled with Italian seasoning, offered in a large size only:

• Signature Meatball: Marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese are topped with all-beef meatballs and fresh spinach.
• Homestyle BBQ Chicken: Barbecue sauce, shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses are topped with chicken, red onions and green peppers.
• Spicy Hawaiian: Ham, pineapple and jalapeños top a sweet chili sauce, shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
• Spicy BBQ Piggy: On a base of spicy Korean barbecue sauce, shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses are topped with ham, bacon, sausage, jalapeños and red onions.

2. Three new wing sauces and two new wing rubs include:

• Buffalo BBQ, a blend of two popular flavors
• Spicy Korean BBQ, with sweet, savory heat
• Louisiana Honey Hot, a sweet Cajun combo
• Lemon Pepper rub, a mix of salty and tangy
• Chili Lime rub, delivering tangy heat and explosive flavor

3. All-beef meatballs are smothered in the customer’s choice of Sweet Chili, Spicy Korean BBQ or Buffalo BBQ sauce.

4. Announced earlier in the fall, the brand has also teamed up with celebrity chef Buddy Valastro (of Cake Boss fame) to feature Buddy’s famous cakes by the slice. Customers can choose from three flavors: Confetti, Vanilla Rainbow and Chocolate Fudge.

“As pioneers in the FEC industry, Chuck E. Cheese continues to evolve, ensuring that every visit is not just a trip down memory lane but an exploration of new tastes and experiences for our youngest guests and the millions of parents and adults who visit us each year,” said David McKillips, president and CEO of CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese.

The Grown-Up Menu is set to roll out across Chuck E. Cheese locations nationwide this week, marking the company’s renewed commitment to providing food and entertainment for guests of all ages. Chuck E. Cheese, with a half-million birthdays celebrated at its locations every year, professes a mission to create positive, lifelong memories for families through fun, food and play. Known as “the place where a kid can be a kid,” it also helps to protect families through programs such as Kid Check and has advocated for local communities by donating more than $20 million to schools through its fundraising programs.
