Buddy Valastro is best known as TV’s “Cake Boss,” but he knows his way around a pizza kitchen, too. And while the competition in Las Vegas is increasingly stiff, a new title might be in the offing for the celebrity chef—the “Pizza Boss” of Sin City.
Valastro announced recently that he’s bolstering his Vegas restaurant portfolio with Buddy V’s Pizzeria, to be located in the Forum Food Hall at Caesars Palace. Buddy V’s will open sometime this summer, taking over the space formerly occupied by the Vegas outpost of Brooklyn’s legendary DiFara (not to be confused with Albert Scalleat’s restaurant, Dom DeMarco’s, also in Vegas).
Valastro got into the pizza business with PizzaCake at Harrah’s Las Vegas and The Boss Café by Buddy Valastro at The LINQ Hotel + Experience. He also owns Buddy’s Jersey Eats, a Vegas food truck, among other eateries.

The Hoboken-born Valastro said Buddy V’s will be “all about bringing people together through our love of great food.” He promised signature pies boasting housemade mozzarella as well as sandwiches and, of course, pastries and desserts. “Each item on our menu reflects a piece of our family’s culinary tradition,” Valastro said.
According to a press release, Buddy V’s Pizzeria “is redefining the traditional New York-style pizza experience with [its] extensive and varied menu.”
“Buddy’s passion for food is evident in everything he makes, and we are proud to have a talented chef like Buddy V join our already spectacular roster of talent at Caesars Palace,” said Terrence O’Donnell, SVP and general manager of Caesars Palace. “We are making exciting changes to the Forum Food Hall, and Buddy V’s Pizzeria will be a great addition for guests seeking a convenient and delicious option.”
In January 2024, Valastro pitched in to help the Peter Piper Pizza brand revamp its dessert menu, introducing three signature cakes sold by the slice.
