Indian/Italian fusion pizzerias are spreading across the country. Case in point: Tandoori Pizza, headquartered in Dublin, California, says it will open several new locations across the United States in the first quarter of 2025. In the brand’s home state, expansion includes a second location in Fresno and new restaurants in Rancho Cucamonga, Concord and Sunnyvale. On the opposite side of the country, look for a store in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, later this year.

Catering to the growing demand for unique dining experiences, these restaurants combine traditional Indian flavors with classic pizza styles, creating a remarkable culinary adventure.

“We are excited to bring our distinct fusion pizzas to even more locations,” Tandoori Pizza owner Tejinder Singh said in a press release. “Tandoori Pizza has always been about elevating the pizza experience, and we can’t wait for customers to try our iconic flavors at these new spots.”

Tandoori Pizza’s new locations feature a variety of menu items—crafted on handmade flatbread dough—that capture the essence of both Indian and Italian cuisines. Offerings range from Tandoori Chicken Pizza to Achari Wings, plus pastas, sides and desserts.

Operating hours across these new restaurants may vary, but Tandoori Pizza generally opens early and stays open late to accommodate diverse customer needs.

Tandoori Pizza is one of several fast-growing Indian/Italian fusion concepts, including Pizza Karma, founded in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, by Rajesh Selvaraj in 2018. As Selvaraj told PMQ last year, Pizza Karma’s menu is based on Indian staples, featuring the Butter Chicken, Chicken Kebab, Coconut Paneer and the Paneer Tikka pizzas. It currently has three locations, all in Minnesota, with another scheduled to open in March 2025.

Another is Pizza Twist, offering pies like the Bombay Garlic Chicken Pizza Twist and the Halal Spicy Lamb Kabob Pizza Twist. That Sacramento brand now has 19 locations in states like Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Texas, New York and New Jersey.

Meanwhile, Curry Pizza House has expanded across California and into states like Oregon, Texas and Washington.
