INC. Magazine ranks Patxi’s Pizza #40 on their annual list of fastest growing Food & Beverage Companies in 2014’s Inc. 5,000. The highly anticipated ranking system celebrates the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States each year. Patxi’s Pizza ranked 1,327 overall, showing 327% growth in the past three years, making it one of the fastest growing Food and Beverage Companies in the U.S.
Patxi’s Pizza (pronounced pah-cheese, ’t’ before ‘x') currently owns and operates nine locations in the Bay Area; three in Denver; and in the spirit of growth, expanded to Seattle earlier this summer. Along with it’s physical expansion, Patxi’s expanded their team this year with the addition of Chief Concept Officer Peter Serantoni and Glenis Welzien as Director of Supply Chain.
Patxi’s Pizza was recently voted “Best Deep Dish Pizza” by Denver’s Westword, and “Best Pizza” by the Reader’s Poll in San Francisco Weekly. Patxi’s ranked #6 in the Food & Beverage Industry by Inc. Magazine’s Top 100 Hire Power Companies of 2013 and named among the Top 10 “Most Life-Changing Pizzas” of 2012 by Esquire Magazine. The San Francisco Business Times recently named CEO Bill Freeman one of the “Most-Admired” CEOs in the Bay Area.
Patxi’s Pizza CEO William Freeman says, "Patxi’s Pizza is once again excited to be a part of such a legendary list. It’s been an exciting year for Patxi’s with our expansion to Seattle and also our expansion in the corporate office. Our fresh, authentic pizza seems to speak for itself and we are looking forward to bringing it to even more new customers—we have expansion plans for Southern California later this year.”
Patxi’s Pizza offers authentic Deep Dish and Italian thin crust pizza with myriad fresh toppings, two styles of dough, four styles of mozzarella and over 30 different meat and veggie toppings, with ingredients sourced locally when possible. Guests can also enjoy fresh salads, appetizers, and beverages including beer and wine at all locations.
Inc. Magazine has been for more than 30 years the premier print publication for entrepreneurs and business owners. In 1982, they introduced the Inc. 500, which celebrates the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. Then in 2007, they expanded the list to the Inc. 5000 to give a broader and deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape, as well as recognize a larger percentage of this important and growing market segment.
