Giovanni Di Palma, founder of Antico Pizza Napoletana in Atlanta, knew he was on to something when customers first tried his frozen-pizza offering during the pandemic. “When we quietly shared it…the reaction said it all: ‘This isn’t frozen pizza,'” he recalled. “At first, it was only going to a small group of private clients, but the goal was always bigger: to make real Neapolitan pizza something anyone could pull from their freezer and enjoy in under 10 minutes.”

Now that goal has been reached. Antico has officially launched Antico Casa, a new super-premium frozen pizza line in Costco stores across the Southeast. The pizzas will be available beginning in the first week of February. The roll-out marks the first time Antico Pizza Napoletana products are available in-store, extending the reach of its celebrated flavors to household kitchens.

Antico Pizza Napoletana is already a three-time winner of the Michelin Bib Gourmand award and an iconic restaurant in Atlanta. Now Antico Casa will be available to Costco shoppers across more than 80 stores in the Southeast region, including Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina.

The launch is, in fact, the culmination of 10 years of research and development, with every element crafted to mirror Antico Pizza’s in-restaurant experience. Unlike most frozen pizzas, Antico Casa uses the restaurant’s exact methods and ingredients—including a 36-hour fermentation process—to match the quality and flavor of a freshly made pizza straight out of Antico’s oven.

The frozen debut features a Margherita two-pack, crafted with imported flour from Italy, organic tomatoes, Bufalo mozzarella, garlic, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil. Each pizza is handmade and can be ready to enjoy in eight minutes.

“For too long, frozen pizza has meant compromising flavor and quality,” Di Palma said. “As a maestro pizzaiolo, I spent years bringing everything we learned in Naples into a frozen pizza worthy of our ovens….Seeing Antico Casa in Costco is a dream come true.”

Following the Costco Southeast launch, the brand plans to expand Antico Casa’s retail presence into additional premium retailers and roll out its most popular varieties in a frozen form, delivering on its mission to bring artisanal Neapolitan pizza to more customers nationwide.
