The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship, scheduled to take place on September 21, 2013, will be sanctioned by All Pro Eating – the World’s only Independent Competitive Eating organization and the world wide guardian of authentic, recognized and official eating records. The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship will award $2,250.00 in prize money including a $1,000.00 First Place prize.

The Ian’s Pizza National Pizza Eating Championship is part of a full day of celebration on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin at Library Mall following the UW Madison Badgers and the Purdue Boilermakers. Ian’s Pizza has planned their annual Amateur Pizza Eating Contest in addition to other live music during the day.

Participants include the current #1 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, Jamie “The Bear” McDonald from Connecticut; the current #2 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater and UW Madison student, Eric “Silo” Dahl from Minnesota, the current #3 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, Stephanie “Xanadu” Torres from New Mexico along with the potential 2013 Competitive Eating Rookie of the Year, Molly Shuyler from Nebraska and hometown favorite Clay “Lunch Pail’ Luttrell from Madison.
