(Press release), Madison Heights, MI —Hungry Howie’s Pizza, the originator of the Flavored Crust Pizza and one of the nation’s top pizza franchises, is continuing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2013 by offering a special Flavored Crust of the Month. July’s limited time only crust flavor is Asiago cheese.

“We are very excited to introduce this new crust flavor as a limited time offer,” said Rob Elliott, vice president of strategic marketing. “Asiago cheese is a great addition to our current offerings and we think customers will really enjoy the new taste.”

Founded in 1973, Madison Heights, Mich.-based Hungry Howie’s Pizza & Subs, Inc. is the originator of the Flavored Crust Pizza. The menu also includes oven-baked calzone-style subs, chicken wings and tenders, bread and salads. Crust flavors include original, butter cheese, garlic herb, ranch, Cajun, butter, onion and sesame. Hungry Howie’s is known for its popular meal deals for any budget at $5, $10, $15 or $20. Customers can get a small two-topping pizza or a medium cheese pizza for $5, one large one-topping Deep Dish or one large two-topping pizza for $10, two medium one-topping pizzas with Howie Bread and dipping sauce for $15, or two large one-topping pizzas with a 2-liter of Pepsi®, Howie Bread and dipping sauce for $20.
Hungry Howie’s Pizza has more than 550 locations in 20 states. The company signed 15 new franchise agreements and opened 10 locations in 2012. This year they plan to sign 30 agreements and to open 25 locations, targeting markets in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas and California for growth.
