Home Run Inn (HRI), a nine-store Chicago chain famous for its tavern-style thin-crust pizza as well as its retail line of frozen pies, will bring the two together in one unique BOGO offer for National Pizza Day, coming up on February 9.
At all of its Chicagoland restaurants, HRI will give its guests a free 12” frozen pizza—either the Classic Cheese or Sausage—when they buy an extra-large fresh-from-the-oven pizza, with a limit of two free pizzas per guest.
Beginning on February 5, HRI will offer other specialty items for the month, ranging from a chocolate-swirled strawberry daiquiri to heart-shaped pizzas. “Home Run Inn is always looking to celebrate holidays with a fun twist,” said Gina Perrino Bolger, senior vice president of Home Run Inn and a fourth-generation family member.

HRI’s frozen pizzas are sold in grocery stores in more than 35 states around the U.S. Meanwhile, the brand is also the official pizza of the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field and provides pies at Chicago’s Midway International Airport.
HRI started out as a small tavern in 1920s-era Chicago and was named Home Run Inn in 1947. The company launched its frozen-pizza line after realizing that many customers were buying fresh pizzas and then freezing them at home.
