Home Run Inn announced it is re-launching its Beer Pizza, in partnership with the Chicago Cubs.
The Beer Pizza is a savory, limited-run menu item inspired by two of Chicago’s favorite things: beer and the thin-crust, tavern-style pizza Home Run Inn is known for.
“We’re excited to bring back Home Run Inn’s Beer Pizza,” said Gina (Perrino) Bolger, senior vice president and fourth-generation family member of Home Run Inn. “Chicagoans showed us their love for the mix of beer and pizza in one bite, and we’re delivering it once again.”

The wheat ale flavored, non-alcoholic, zesty treat will be available in Home Run Inn’s 8-inch sausage pizza at select concession stands throughout Wrigley Field for the remainder of the regular season. The “Beer Pizza” also will be available in all varieties at Home Run Inn restaurants for a limited time only.
Home Run Inn is synonymous with Chicago’s tavern-style, thin-crust pizza. A small tavern since the 1920, legend has it that the restaurant was renamed Home Run Inn when a baseball from a nearby game came crashing through a barroom window.
Home Run Inn is currently the Official Pizza of the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field and is sold at Midway International Airport. Still family-owned and operated, Home Run Inn is one of the oldest pizza chains in the Chicagoland area.
