When in Rome — make great pizza. Nunzio DeTommaso, lifelong pizza lover, grew up in Italy and now he's brought authentic Roman-style pizza to his new home in Connecticut.
Greenwichtime.com reports DeTommaso visited a Roman-style pizza restaurant in Italy and it captured his heart and tastebuds at the age of 10. The memory inspired him to open his new Roman-style pizza place in Cos Cob, Connecticut, this winter.
His new restaurant, at 1 Strickland Road in Cos Cob, shares the name of his hometown, Gravina. And while business was slow at first — the pizzeria is gaining a following among pedestrians passing through Cos Cob's heavily trafficked hub.
