Godfather’s Pizza has announced a new best-in-class benefits program to all employees, including franchisees. The program, called “An Opportunity You Can’t Refuse," allows part-time and full-time employees up to $5,250 per year when they enroll at Bellevue University as a full-time, degree-seeking student.
Family members can receive up to $2,500 of tuition reimbursement annually toward their chosen degree. The new program is available to all employees and their immediate family members after just 30 days of continuous employment.
Studies indicate that learning and development are important benefits to talented employees. In fact, 93 percent of millennials see development as critical to their careers; learning and education opportunities are cited as the top non-cash benefit.
“Godfather’s Pizza is committed to providing our entire team with the tools and opportunities to invest in their education,” said Kathy Johnson, Senior Vice President of Franchise Services. “Going to college is a big hurdle and may not be feasible for some of our employees who have the desire to earn a degree. Knowing we can take much of that burden away gives us the opportunity to assist our employees and their families in developing their careers.”
Bellevue University was chosen for its understanding of the strategic needs that working adults have in pursuing education. The university has a well-earned reputation for serving adult learners and offers more than 50 career-relevant bachelor’s degrees and 20 master’s degrees.
“We are honored to extend these services to Godfather’s Pizza employees,” said Dr. Mary Hawkins, president of Bellevue University. “Godfather’s Pizza understands the value of education, and their success over the years is a direct result of their commitment to their people. I’m excited about the possibilities of this unique partnership and look forward to welcoming Godfather’s Pizza team members to the innovative course offerings we have here at Bellevue University.”
“At Godfather’s Pizza, we are eager to build our own leaders by giving motivated team members access to career-relevant learning programs,” said Roxanne Mason, Human Resources Manager.
