Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza Announces Nationwide Gluten-Free Pizza Rollout

Everett, WA (August 5, 2008) – Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza, the first and only
gourmet carry-out and delivery pizza chain, is proud to announce the nationwide debut of its new
gluten-free pizzas.

Garlic Jim’s first introduced gluten-free pizza to the Portland/Vancouver, WA metro area at the end of
May and has received rave reviews from its customers: Karen from Salem recently wrote to the Garlic Jim’s
corporate office, “I just want to let you know that ever since we found out that Garlic Jim’s now has gluten-free
pizza, we have ordered a large pizza every week, and no one in our family has gotten sick!! Our Gluten
Intolerance Group (the Mid-Willamette Valley GIG) discussed Garlic Jim’s in South Salem at our last meeting
– no one has gotten sick, and everyone RAVED about it! Our 14-year-old son Ted LOVES it – we always
get the pepperoni with black olives and green peppers and there are never any leftovers!… The South
Salem staff should be given major KUDOS for eliminating any cross-contamination problems!

The next phase of the nationwide rollout began on Thursday, July 31 with a special preview tasting at
Garlic Jim’s Lakewood, WA location. (6030 Main Street SW, Lakewood) and will continue across the
Garlic Jim’s chain throughout the month of August.

Gluten-free pizzas are being introduced by Garlic Jim’s at the request of many customers who have
family members and friends who suffer from gluten intolerance. As a result of these requests, the
Garlic Jim’s Operations Department conducted extensive research and testing culminating in a gluten free pizza menu that recreates Garlic Jim’s famous specialty pizzas with a special crust developed by a
Vancouver, WA company.
