Most frozen pizza from the supermarket isn’t great—just good enough when you can’t order from your favorite local pizzeria. But what if you top it with cranberries? Oh, and green beans?
Yes, it has been done. And it will be done again when frozen pizza brand DiGiorno releases its Thanksgiving Pizza next month.
The company says the limited-time pizza, which was a sell-out hit when it debuted in November 2023, “delivers all the Thanksgiving favorites in one bite, no matter how you slice it.” Toppings include a creamy gravy sauce, turkey, diced sweet potatoes, green beans, crispy onions and cranberries, plus mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, loaded on a Detroit-style crust.
All that’s missing from that holiday meal is your nutty uncle spinning conspiracy theories about how the moon is really a hologram or the Powerball lottery is a ruse to bust time travelers.
“Our passion is pizza, and we are always looking for unique ways to infuse the fresh-baked taste of DiGiorno into moments of celebration—even the most traditional holiday dinners,” senior brand manager Kimberly Holowiak said in a press release.
The Thanksgiving pizza will be sold exclusively in Kroger stores this year whereas the specialty pie was only available online in 2023.
