From September 26 to Oct 5, up to 50 restaurants will be fighting for the coveted Pizza crowns in the Thin crust, Thick crust and Unusual categories with UNIQUE, One of a kind pizzas never seen before in their repertoire.

For each $20 med or lge pizza sold, $3 is directly donated to Meals on Wheels, to enhance awareness of this great service to Calgarians in need, as well as raise funds for the daily operations.

From Sushi Pizzas to Pizzas made with Mac N' Cheese or Curried Lobster, the choices are imaginative, and special care was made to give Alberta based Pizza restaurants a chance to shine. In fact, Chopped Canada and Top Chef Canada Season 4 contestant, Pierre Lamielle aka @foodonyourshirt , designed a unique logo and line of T-shirts specifically for YYC Pizza Week!
