Fan-Favorite Chicken Pair Inspire Online Entertainment Site and MySpace Page

LIVINGSTON, Calif., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ — They’ve tried to dupe moms and doctors, yoga students and now … MySpace friends? The Foster Imposters, two out-of-state, junk food-eating chickens who repeatedly attempt to impersonate always natural, always fresh, locally-grown Foster Farms birds, are back and more playful than ever online. Today marks the launch of two new Web spaces devoted to the rascally pair: www.TheFosterImposters.com and www.myspace.com/thefosterimposters .

“We’re not entirely surprised that the Imposters would attempt to take their impossible dream online,” says Greta Janz, Foster Farms’ vice president of marketing. “Research shows that many of our consumers are increasing their online activity and many moms now visit online game sites daily. Apparently, the Foster Imposters are more tech savvy than we thought!”

Fans will be able to view recent Foster Farms commercials featuring the Foster Imposters at www.TheFosterImposters.com , including “Road Trip,” “Duped Moms” and “Corrido,” (a Spanish-language commercial featuring the widely popular musical group Los Tucanes de Tijuana). The Web site was designed by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners with in cooperation with Unit9 and features the Imposters in 3D Flash animation, Foster Imposter facts and three giggle- inducing, interactive games which reward high-scoring players with Foster Farms product coupons and downloadable Foster Imposters desktop wallpaper.

The three interactive games, “Catch a Snack,” “Chicken Wire,” and “Ambulance Ride” were designed with moms and children in mind. Each game features the wily antics of the Foster Imposters and showcases their love for everything unnatural (loads of salt, unnatural substances, freezing temperatures) in a world where healthier options exist.

“These games are fun to play,” said Janz. “At the same time they validate a feeling that we’ve heard repeatedly from consumers: the fresh meat and poultry department is a tough realm to navigate because there are so many choices. It’s no longer as simple as choosing lean protein over pizza for dinner — many consumers are realizing that even in the fresh poultry case, there are important nutrition and quality differences between brands. These games help demonstrate that Foster Farms is committed to locally-grown, always natural, always fresh poultry that is never enhanced with added sodium.”

On MySpace, friends of the pair will be able to read up on the Foster Imposters’ entertainment and music interests; view pics, videos and commercials featuring the duo; interact with other Foster Imposter fans, and follow their latest antics in an evolving diary.
