NRN.com reports, “Non-traditional pizza toppings are all the rage these days. Even mainstream chains like Domino’s are offering such non-traditional toppings as feta cheese, Tuscan salami and roasted vegetables.”
“Smaller chains have gotten in on the action, too, such as 160-unit Papa Gino’s, which last month introduced limited-time specialty pizzas with toppings like ricotta, Asiago cheese, Panama peppers and Alfredo sauce. And Uno’s, a 150-unit pizza chain, introduced pizza topped with feta and goat cheeses and caramelized onions in October.”
