SAN DIEGO – June 14, 2011 – North County’s staple pizzeria, Flippin’ Pizza, is preparing to kick the summer off with a bang by expanding its menu and adding the new Buffalo Chicken pie to its roster of specialty hand-tossed  pies. Throughout the month of June, fans can stop in to any Flippin’ Pizza location in Carlsbad (“Knockout”), Encinitas, La Costa or Vista  and try the new pie, which is honored with Flippin’ Pizza’s June ‘Pie of the Month’ title.

The Buffalo Chicken pie is an 1""8-inch classic white pie topped with grilled chicken, buffalo hot sauce and blue cheese dressing, like all Flippin’ Pizza pies, it contains no added oils or sugars, and no high fructose corn syrup.

“We’re excited to expand our menu with the new Buffalo Chicken pie, bringing a Flippin’ Pizza East Coast favorite to our loyal San Diego fans and community,” said Patrick Farley, owner and president of Flippin’ Pizza.

About FLIPPIN’ PIZZA and Knockout Pizzeria:

Knockout Pizzeria’s unique pizza recipe originated in Sicily more than 30 years ago. The craze over this pizza in New York made it apparent that the West Coast was missing out and thus, Knockout Pizzeria of Carlsbad was born. Flippin’ Pizza was launched in 2007 as Patrick Farley, owner of the original Knockout Pizzeria of Carlsbad, expanded his concept to more pizzerias in North San Diego County. Since then, it is the mission of Knockout Pizzeria and Flippin’ Pizza to be the neighborhood pizzerias that provide a true slice of New York to every customer who walks through their doors.
