Five Canadian pizzerias are teaming up to set a Guinness World Record for the longest calzone on July 14 at the Vaughan Pizza Fest, at the Interchange Park in Ontario.

“Pizza Dude” Roberto Vergalito will guide these pizzerias through 60 feet of raw dough and 300 pounds of ingredients, all of which will be fed into a Hot Rocks Stone Conveyor Oven to roll out the longest calzone on the other side.  Hot Rocks has been prepping for the record attempt, too.

The dough will be made with 309 pounds (140 kilograms) of flour, 12 ounces of dry yeast, two pounds (one kilogram) each of salt, sugar, and olive oil. Over a thousand ounces (36 liters) of tomato sauce will be stuffed in with 44 pounds (20 kilograms) of dry, cured pepperoni and 132 pounds (60 kilograms) of Saputo Mozzarellissima Cheese.

The current record holder for the largest calzone is Rulli’s Italian Restaurant for its 23-foot long calzone that weighed over 200 pounds in August 2014.

Held July 12 to 14, the three-day pizza festival will have 25 pizzerias for the customers to pair with over 20 varieties of beer. The festival’s headliners are DJ Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino from the T.V. show, Jersey Shore.
