Power Brands Hospitality Group opened a Grimaldi’s Pizzeria franchised location in Alabama on August 29, marking the legendary Brooklyn-style pizza brand’s second store in that state.

The new location is in Hoover, and it joins a Huntsville location that opened in 2022.

“After our warm welcome in Huntsville and the excitement from the Hoover community, we could not be more pleased to support Power Brands Hospitality Group in their latest opening,” Grimaldi’s COO Michael Flaum said in a press release. “Their expertise in curating dining options that are wholeheartedly supported by the community is an excellent match to Grimaldi’s commitment to authentic pizza-making techniques and memorable guest experiences.”

Founded more than 100 years ago under the Brooklyn Bridge, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria now has 46 stores around the U.S.

Arnold Soni, a partner in Power Brands Hospitality Group, told the Hoover Sun that he fell in love with Grimaldi’s food when he discovered it in Las Vegas about five years ago. He said he ate there three days in a row and then brought one of his partners to a Grimaldi’s restaurant in Destin, Florida. Power Brands went on to become Grimaldi’s first franchisee, according to Soni.

“As proud residents of North Alabama, we have had a vision of bringing Grimaldi’s to our community for years,” Kumar Patel, Power Brands’ managing partner said in the press release. “We know that Grimaldi’s Brooklyn style pizza will be a welcome addition to the vibrant dining scene in Hoover and we cannot wait to continue our relationship with Grimaldi’s to share it with the residents of the greater Birmingham area.”
